User roles and permissions

User roles and permissions on BEAM-ERP refer to the different levels of access and authority that are granted to different types of users.

Employee Role is the default user role in BEAM-ERP. Users with the employee user role are able to log in with BEAM Email to the BEAM-ERP website but have limited access.

  • Personal Information Management: This permission allows employees to view and update their personal information, such as contact details, work experiences, education information, and dependent information, using the HRM system.
  • Time and Attendance Management: This permission allows employees to clock in and out of work, and view their attendance records.
  • Submit Leave Requests: This permission allows employees to submit requests for time off, such as vacation, sick leave, or personal leave.
  • View Leave Balances: This permission allows employees to view their remaining leave balances, including accrued time off and any leave taken so far.
  • Edit Leave Requests: This permission allows employees to edit or cancel a leave request that they have previously submitted.
  • View Team Leave Calendar: This permission allows employees, managers, and supervisors to view their team members' leave schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
  • Performance Management: Employees can set goals and objectives, complete self-assessments, and view their performance history through the HRM system.
  • Projects: Employees can access to view project information that they are assigned to through the Project Management System.
  • Communication: The Employee can view information for employee communication, such as organization announcements, employee directories, and guidelines.
In a Human Resource Management (HRM) system, an HR Manager is an individual who holds a significant role responsible for overseeing various human resource functions within an organization. The HR Manager utilizes the HRM system as a tool to efficiently manage and optimize HR processes, improve employee management practices, and ensure adherence to regulations and company policies.
HR Managers are provided with the following permissions in addition to the access rights of the standard Employee Role:
  • Employee Information Access: Access to view and edit detailed employee profiles. Ability to update employee contact information, job titles, and departments.
  • Leave and Attendance Management: Permission to review and approve or reject leave requests. Access to view attendance records and leave balances.
  • Performance Management: Access to set and update employee performance goals. Permission to conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Reports and Analytics: Ability to generate HR-related reports such as headcount, turnover, etc. Access to analytics for monitoring HR trends and metrics.
  • HR Policies and Documentation: Access to company HR policies and procedures. Permission to update and maintain HR-related documentation.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Responsibility to ensure data privacy and compliance with regulations. Permission to manage user access and permissions within the HRM system.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Permission to communicate with HR staff and other relevant stakeholders. Access to share documents, files, and announcements within the HR team.

Line Managers are provided with the following permissions in addition to the access rights of the standard Employee Role:

  • Leave Management: Approve or reject leave requests for their team members. View team members' leave balances and history.
  • Performance Monitoring: Access high-level performance data and metrics for team members. View performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Performance Review Input: Provide input and evaluations for team members during the performance review process.
  • Document Access: Access basic employee records, such as attendance and leave history.
In a Project Management System, a Project Manager is a key person responsible for planning, leading, and supervising projects within an organization.
